Hello All, Since our ai-sig listserv has been created, I figured that I would kick off the conversation. This week, I discovered a new cool tool, called Zapier (https://zapier.com/) which allows one to automate workflows. Zapier includes Microsoft Co-Pilot to help one create workflows and some workflow templates already exist. As the new Aha admin, I'm using Zapier to create a "zap", which retrieves the CSV file attachment in Gmail, which I'm sending of all the enhancements at 2am PST and it uploads and replaces the file as a Google spreadsheet on Google Drive. I'm then able to share the link to the Google spreadsheet in Aha. It is labeled "Export all enhancement requests (current as of 10am UTC)". We're using UTC as the Aha system is being used both ELUNA and IGeLU. Zapier.com seems like Microsoft's Power Automate (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/products/power-automate) as well as Ex Libris's new open workflows tool (n8n). Does anyone know of any other tools, which may be useful in automating processes, even with built-in AI? Hi Ryan and friends, Happy Thanksgiving~! Let's meet after the holidays! Questions I have: Items which do not require periodic changes, unless it gets unorganized and the collected are about specific software, companies and their evolutions (1) Shared space. Can we have a central location to house and organize all that we collect for explorations and discussions? I see potentials in collecting all the tools and expectations and our categorization of them. I also see potentials in listing out all our expectations and categories first prior to collecting tools, interests, reading materials, and others. Most important of all, I see that we normally have a shared drive or wiki for ELUNA and IGELU work groups and special interest groups--would IGELU or ELUNA be providing us with such resource? Work which require periodic updates and scheduled work (2) ExLibris-related. Do we have to think about ExLibris' well-being? I think we should work on identifying and evaluating ExLibris' AI-related products and services. (3) SIG-related. Should we conduct periodic surveys to determine ways to tailor make this group valuable accordingly? There are some barriers to the items listed above, where we may find those whom we report to may find more comfort in each of us working on them internally, among ourselves at each of the institutions we belong to, since the topic is such a big, competitive trend. So, while I am open to all of the above and would like to do all three, how about item number (3)? Number (3) sounds like it should not be a problem.
