Join us online on Tuesday June 17, Wednesday June 18 and Thursday June 19 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm Eastern Time each day to explore critical topics in improving accessibility and the experiences of people with disabilities using, and working in, libraries in Ontario's post-secondary landscape. Around the world, post-secondary libraries are recognizing accessibility and inclusion of people with disabilities as a shared priority. In Ontario, 2025 was intended to mark a compliance milestone for the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). However, much work remains to be done. The Accessibility Symposium 2.0 will feature presentations and discussions that reflect on the progress made over the past 20 years and envision a more ambitious and inclusive future for accessibility in academic libraries. Volunteer Opportunity The Symposium Planning Committee is looking for volunteers to review and correct video captioning and transcriptions of this symposium for accuracy. This will happen after the symposium and will involve watching portions of sessions and editing existing caption and transcription files. If you would like to get involved with this project, indicate so on the registration page, or email the Planning Committee via the OCUL website. Please note that while registration for the Symposium is not limited, Zoom sessions are limited to 500 participants, so sign in early to ensure you get a spot, or enjoy the recording to any session you can't attend afterwards.
