Description of our Systems Librarian position     

W&M Libraries is seeking a flexible and collaborative systems librarian to join our digital services team. The Systems Librarian is responsible for support and administration for a suite of library systems such as Alma/Primo VE, ILLiad, Digital Commons, and LibApps. This position will report to the Head of Digital Services and as part of the Digital Services Team and work closely with Campus IT and members of various digital initiatives teams.


The Systems Librarian will engage with staff across W&M Libraries and consortia partners to assess needs and priorities, facilitate systems integration projects, and advocate with vendors regarding issue resolutions and feature requests. They will also keep abreast of proposed, new, and existing functionality to support expanded capabilities for administered systems. The successful candidate will prioritize our users and staff, with an ongoing focus on optimizing systems and workflows to offer a seamless and streamlined experience.


Advertised Pay range: $65,000-75,000

The DC Ex Libris Regional User Group Annual Meeting will be held virtually on Friday, October 7th, 2022 via Zoom.

 

Call for presenters:  We are asking for 30 minute presentations from Ex Libris users. Possible topics can run the gamut of all things Ex Libris (Alma, Primo VE, Leganto, Rapido, Esploro, etc.).

Presenters do not have to be from the DMV (DC, Maryland, and Virgina) area; we love to hear from presenters from both inside and outside our region!

 

If you are interested in presenting, please submit your contact information and a brief summary of your topic here by August 26th, 2022.
