Thank you for the warm welcome, Shane! My apologies for not emailing sooner--I'm excited to work with Shane and everyone who is a part of DC RUG as co-chair. 😊

I enjoyed meeting the DC-RUG members who were at ELUNA 2024 and am looking forward to meeting more of you soon. I took a lot of notes from that meeting, so I have information on suggested new names for the group, preferences on meeting modalities (in-person vs. online), and other ideas. I am glad to see so many people interested in making this group more active, and I will work with Shane towards this goal.

One request was to make this list more active, so I'll start--what would you like to see out of this group in the coming years?

Good morning DC RUG community,

I am pleased to announce our new co-chair for the DC Regional User Group (DC RUG) - Mary Beth Holm, Electronic Resources Librarian, Virginia Commonwealth University. Mary Beth's term is for the 2024-2025 period.

Additionally, I want to thank Jacqueline Saavedra for her years of service to DC RUG as co-chair. Her efforts and dedication are greatly appreciated.

Following the DC RUG meeting at ELUNA 2024, Mary Beth and I met to review the feedback/ideas raised during the session. These topics will be our focus as co-chairs for the next 12 months:
