Thanks, June Librarian (Systems LIbrarian) - CSFDGLO (Job Number:1900597) Description The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Library seeks an innovative, service-oriented and collaborative information professional to join its headquarters-based Library in Washington D.C. The IMF Library is part of Library Network that serves the information and data needs of clients in the IMF and the World Bank Group. The ideal candidate's primary responsibility includes the day-to-day monitoring, maintenance and ongoing support of the Integrated Library System (ILS), Alma/Primo and other related tools and applications. He/She will facilitate search, discovery, and delivery of library services and resources across different platforms and formats. The Systems Librarian is a member of the Library Operations team which is also responsible for troubleshooting client issues, managing the Library Network's website by developing enterprise library applications, metadata creation, taxonomy management and indexing Executive Board Documents. Additional teams in the Library include the Content Development and the Client Services teams. The Content Development team is responsible for negotiating and licensing resources procured by the Library. Hello, VCU Libraries is interested in hosting a lively conversation about eBook management in general and issues particular to Ex Libris Alma on Friday, February 22, 2019, from 9:30AM-3:30PM at James Branch Cabell Library on our Monroe Park Campus in Richmond, Virginia. After receiving great preliminary feedback, we have structured the day to be a panel with Q&A in the morning and participatory programming in the afternoon. We are proposing 1-hour concurrent table talks and seek moderators to help guide those conversations. We are also proposing lightning talks and seek participants. The incumbent assists AU faculty with identifying and scheduling visual material, and manages scheduling systems for materials and viewing spaces. This position also assists faculty with instructional technologies. The incumbent ensures the accurate cataloging of items in the Media Services collection and contributes to the library's social media activities to promote media content to the AU community. The incumbent maintains a high level of engagement with library systems and technology used by Access Services and is a resource in the development of technical expertise throughout the Division. Other duties include assisting the Access Services Program Analyst in ensuring the continuity and categorization of data between systems and ensuring the quality and effectiveness of library software, applications, reporting scripts, and queries. The incumbent also has primary responsibility for hiring, supervising, scheduling, and training the part-time front line staff.
