SERUG Members,
Good Morning all. I want to offer my apologies for the long silence. I have been out of the office quite a bit between late August and early October dealing with multiple family crises but am now ready to get the momentum going again with this group.
I hope all you fared well during the past two major storms.
I have two topics that I want to follow-up on from our last meeting in July, and a request for your consideration to a third topic.
*
At the July meeting, we mentioned having quarterly meetings, which would've meant an October meeting. October is out, but I've put together a Doodle poll with dates between November 4 - 20, either at 11am or 2pm ET.
1.
Please try to complete the poll by COB on Thursday, Oct 31 so that I can schedule the meeting. Below is a link to the poll.

*
Next, I've put together a short, 7 question survey (most with multiple choice responses) so that we can learn more about each other such as, any other ExLibris/Clarivate products used, e.g. Rapido, Rialto; when you migrated to Alma/Primo; and if you are interested in sharing resources with SERUG members. Please try to complete the survey by Monday, Nov 3rd. I'll share the results at the meeting.
*
Fill out the survey as a representative of either your individual library or consortia office, if applicable.

Finally, there is an idea added to the Idea Exchange by a librarian from CARLI, Denise Green. Please take a look at it and if you feel that it's worthwhile, consider adding your vote to it.
Note: In the November 2024 Release of New Features, 9 of them came from Idea Exchange.

Good morning all,
The meeting notes and recording from the July 24th meeting are under the Documents section of the SERUG Site<https://sites.google.com/view/se-rug/home>. Thanks again to Shelly Hypes, SERUG Secretary, for the wonderful notes.
We had some issues with the listserv, which seems to have been resolved, so hopefully things will go more smoothly going forward.
I will be sending out a survey soon to:
*
Find out a bit more about your institutions such as the ExLibris products used (Rapido, Rapido, Leganto, Rialto, etc)
*
Interest in participating in Resource Sharing with each other
*
Interest being a SERUG Co-Chair, or participating in future conference planning
Lastly, at the meeting we talked about future meetings being held once a semester, so about 3 times a year.
I saw that ENUG (ExLibris Northeast User Group) will be holding their annual (publicly announced) meeting on Oct 17 &18, 2024. I think it might be good for some of us to attend and get ideas, and then have our (internal) meeting afterwards to do some preliminary planning for our own annual meeting/conference.
Have a great weekend,
Wendy Ellis
